Recycling for Dummies

It’s no surprise that we love recycling and want to know everything there is to know about it. You may already be a dedicated Recycle Hero OR you may be wanting to kickstart your journey into demystifying recycling. “Recycling for Dummies” is an everything-you-need-to-know-guide on our favourite part of the waste hierarchy.

Some cool facts we learned:

  • Recycling just one aluminium can saves enough power to run your TV for three hours

  • It takes an apple core 6 months to 2 years to decompose in landfill

  • Just because “bioplastic” is made from plants and starts with “bio” doesn't mean it's biodegradable.

From demystifying the recycling symbols to decoding the intricacies of separating glass from plastic, "Recycling for Dummies" takes you by the hand and leads you through the recycling maze step by step. This book isn't just about tossing stuff into the right bin; it's about understanding the bigger picture of waste reduction and environmental conservation.

"Recycling for Dummies" goes beyond the basics, delving into advanced recycling techniques and exploring ways to recycle less common items. You might even recognise one of the home collection services ;)
